Our Story

Trevor spent his teenage years learning the ropes of car repair and customization in his dad's garage. By high school, he’d already flipped his first car, igniting a passion for turning ordinary vehicles into extraordinary creations. Inspired by what he could transform old junkers into, the MotionAuto Youtube channel was then started in 2010 to document the process.

The turning point came when he got his hands on a rolling shell MKIV Toyota Supra. From a heap of parts to one of his most prized possessions, that build captured attention and kickstarted a journey none of us could have imagined. With YouTube gaining traction, Trevor and the team decided to go all-in—building and giving away cars to make someone else’s automotive dream a reality, while giving even more purpose to each build.

MotionAuto has since grown into a thriving community of car enthusiasts, blending our love for cars with gear inspired by the car guy and mechanic lifestyle. Over the years, we’ve given away 19 vehicles to 19 incredible people from across the country. It’s been a wild ride, and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of fans like you.
